Afterword
Hello there, Ebisu Seiji here. Thankyou very much for picking up the 8th installment of ‘Ore Ga SukiNano Wa Imouto Dakedo Imouto Janai’.
This novel is something like theturning point, and the beginning of a change in our protagonist Yuu.Because of the previous incident, he finds himself growing more andmore conscious of Suzuka. During this confusion, he then receives aphone call from a certain publisher. At first, he is a bit wary, andas expected, his novel didn’t make it to the end… However, heinstead receives an offer where an editor will support him withadvice and tips. Naturally, Yuu blindly jumps in on the offer, andgoes to work on his new story together with Suzuka. And then, hisfinal answer about what he wants to truly write—That’s the storythis time around. How did you enjoy it?
His relationship with Suzuka, and hisown dream as well. The situation is undergoing an immense change, butwe’re still far from done, so I hope that you’ll continue to lookafter them. As the author, I felt like this volume as a whole becamea turning point, and the future of the story depends on my feelingsfrom here on out.
Now, to change the flow of theconversation a bit. I participated in the 30th year anniversary partyfor Fantasia Bunko the other day. Naturally, we have a celebrationhere at Fantasia Bunko every year, but since it’s been thirty yearssince the founding, it turned into a rather big event. There was along line of assortments and goods, shows, and I even found a Suzukacosplayer! I was really moved…
And what was I participating in? Wellwell well… A signing session. It certainly wasn’t that big of adeal, but I still felt nervous during the whole procedure. Not tomention that this series’ illustrator Gintarou-san was evenparticipating, which left us with no signing papers left. As always,I felt very moved to personally meet all the fans that keepsupporting me, and indirectly those siblings as well. I receivedpassionate cheers, and passionate opinions and feelings about thenovels, which made me very happy. People who had only bought thefirst novel, people who had bought all the other volumes, people whohad awakened to their love for little sister novels thanks to myseries, and even people who came here by reading my previous works.Being able to listen to all their voices really moved me from thebottom of my heart.
For the people who couldn’tparticipate in the event, but still continue to support the seriesfrom a distance, and to every wonderful person who is involved in thedistribution of this series, I want to give my thanks as well, although sadly not in person.
Really, thank you very much.
And here’s hoping that I can meet youall again in the future—
The 28th of October 2018, Ebisu Seiji.
