"Old Lin, you’re still as clueless as ever, even at your age. Can’t you see I’m on the phone with the bureau chief? What are you yelling for!" Sun Yu hung up the phone and laughed as he scolded the old detective who had just been lamenting.

"Isn’t that obvious? Otherwise, how would you have become a leader while I’m still just a lowly officer!" The old detective retorted, not giving Sun Yu much face.

Sun Yu rubbed his nose awkwardly but didn’t lose his temper.

Because this old detective had once trained Sun Yu, even though Sun Yu was now a deputy bureau chief, he couldn’t act too high and mighty. Besides, the old detective was indeed skilled at solving cases, and Sun Yu still relied on him heavily.

Seeing Sun Yu rub his nose, the old detective knew it wasn’t good to embarrass him in front of so many people, so he quickly added, "We have a new discovery!"

"What new discovery?" Sun Yu’s heart skipped a beat at the words, and he hurriedly stepped forward, forgetting his embarrassment.

"Look!" The old detective grabbed the sideburns of the medium-built man and yanked hard.

A tearing sound echoed, making everyone feel a sharp pain in their cheeks, and they instinctively covered their faces.

The sideburns tore off, revealing a clean-shaven face.

"This, this person looks familiar!" Sun Yu’s eyes widened in shock, and his face showed deep thought.

"Of course he looks familiar, he’s a top A-level fugitive wanted by the police headquarters!" The old detective said coldly, his gaze icy as he looked at the medium-built man, as if the man had a blood feud with him.

"Hungry Wolf! This guy is the notorious fugitive known as Hungry Wolf, who is extremely brutal in his crimes!" Sun Yu’s heart trembled, and his gaze turned icy as he looked at the medium-built man.

"Since Hungry Wolf is here, the other one must be Hunting Dog!" The old detective said coldly, then rubbed the left cheek of the other criminal, revealing a wrinkle and a corner of what looked like transparent tape.

The old detective pinched the corner and ripped it off.

Another tearing sound echoed, and a grotesque scar, resembling a crawling centipede, appeared on the criminal’s left cheek.

"Hiss!" Seeing it was indeed Hunting Dog, all the police officers sucked in a sharp breath, and the area fell silent, with only the rumbling of the ship’s engine echoing in the night sky.

"Is there something wrong with these two criminals?" Situ Chuxue felt a chill and asked instinctively.

"Ms. Situ, you are indeed very lucky. To be kidnapped by these two and still be rescued by a brave man in such a remote area is truly fortunate." Sun Yu said, feeling a mix of fear and relief, his gaze unconsciously drifting to the hill where the graves were.

"Indeed, very lucky! One of them is called Hunting Dog, and the other is called Hungry Wolf. Both are perverted rapists and killers. Two years ago, they kidnapped two women, who suffered inhuman abuse and were eventually dismembered..." the old detective said.

"Clack!" Situ Chuxue’s teeth chattered, and her hair stood on end.

She couldn’t imagine what would have happened to her if Qin Zhengfan hadn’t arrived in time.

"Old Lin!" Sun Yu scolded him when he saw that Old Lin’s words had frightened Situ Chuxue.

"Cough, cough! Ms. Situ, I’m sorry, it’s a professional habit. I forgot..." Old Lin scratched his head awkwardly.

"It’s okay, it’s okay. You would have told me eventually anyway." Situ Chuxue waved her hand, trying to suppress the fear in her heart.

"I say you’re lucky not just because these two are perverted and brutal, but also because they were once mercenaries in the tropical forests of Migang. They are highly skilled, and even our bureau chief Sun, who is one of the best, might not be able to defeat them one-on-one. They also have strong anti-detection skills. That’s why we couldn’t catch them two years ago, and several officers were seriously injured during the pursuit."

"These two haven’t appeared for two years, and we thought they had crossed the border and escaped to the tropical forests of Migang. We didn’t expect them to kidnap you this time. If it weren’t for that young man, we wouldn’t have been able to guarantee your safety, and some of us might have been killed." Old Lin continued when he saw that Situ Chuxue wasn’t offended, still shocked by Qin Zhengfan’s abilities.

Of course, he didn’t dare to describe the brutality of their crimes in detail.

Situ Chuxue finally understood why Sun Yu and the others felt she was lucky after such a harrowing experience.

"Yes, I am indeed lucky!" Realizing this, Situ Chuxue thought of Qin Zhengfan’s heroic appearance and couldn’t help but feel grateful.

"Actually, that young man is also lucky. The police headquarters has issued a bounty for these two. Fifteen thousand for one, thirty thousand for both! Thirty thousand, that’s more than my salary for over ten years." A young officer said enviously after the shock wore off.

A regular officer’s salary was modest, about fifteen hundred a month.

"You need real skills to claim that bounty, and you can’t envy it! Besides, we should all be grateful to that young man. Otherwise, if these two criminals had escaped to our CangY County, we, as detectives, would have been the first to face them. In a real confrontation, some of us might have been killed." Old Lin said solemnly.

Everyone fell silent.

They all knew that Old Lin was a seasoned detective who had been in gunfights and had killed criminals. If even he said this, who would dare to think they could defeat these two criminals and come out unscathed?

Qin Zhengfan, of course, had no idea that the two criminals he had subdued were top A-level fugitives wanted by the police headquarters, or that his actions had greatly shocked the police, or that he would soon be thirty thousand richer.

At that moment, Qin Zhengfan was leaping through the mountains, enjoying the night breeze and the freedom of movement.

With each leap, he became more familiar with his newfound strength and more adept at controlling it.

Later, when he went down the mountain, he stepped on tree branches, leaping from one tree to another.

From a distance, under the moonlight, a figure could be seen leaping across the treetops, looking incredibly graceful, like a master from a movie!
