Welcome to the new ReadNovelEU

If you've been here before, you've probably noticed that things look different. I rebuilt ReadNovelEU from the ground up, and the new version is now live for everyone.

The old site is still up at old.readnovel.eu until October 19, 2026, in case you need something from it.

What's new

Faster pages

Chapters open quicker, and going to the next chapter no longer reloads the whole page. While you read, the next chapter is already loading in the background, so it's usually there the moment you tap Next.

A new reader

Tap Settings while reading a chapter and make it yours:

• 7 fonts, text size from 12 to 40px, line spacing, paragraph spacing and text width
• Backgrounds like Sepia, Cream, Slate or pure black for OLED screens, or your own colors
• Presets if you don't want to fiddle: Classic (close to the old site), Book and Large print
• Keep the screen on, tap the top or bottom of the page to scroll, and go to the next chapter automatically

If you're signed in, your settings follow you to your other devices.

Made for phones

Most of you read on a phone, so that's where most of the work went. There's a tab bar at the bottom (Home, Browse, Library, Downloads, More). The reader toolbar gets out of the way while you scroll and comes back when you scroll up or tap the page. The chapter list and settings open as panels you can swipe down to close.

You can also add the site to your home screen: open the menu and tap Install app. It then opens like any other app.

Jump to any chapter

Tap Chapters and the list opens right where you are. Type a number to jump straight to that chapter, or a word to search the chapter titles. Chapters you've read get a check mark, and there's always a link to continue where you left off.

Your library and history

Sort novels into Reading, Plan to Read, Completed, On Hold and Dropped. Your library shows how many new chapters each novel has, and your history has progress bars and resume links.

Reading on your phone at night and your laptop the next day? Continue picks up where you actually stopped. If you read without an account, your history is kept in your browser and moves into your account when you sign in.

Themes

There are nine of them. Classic Light and Classic Dark are the old look, and there are darker ones like Obsidian Throne, Blood Lotus and Moonlit Pavilion. Pick one under Theme & appearance in the menu, or let the site follow your phone's light and dark mode.

Offline downloads

On a novel's page, tap Download and pick the next 10, 50 or 100 chapters, all of them, or a range. Downloaded chapters open without a connection, and you'll find them all under Downloads. Good for flights and long commutes.

Notifications

When you're signed in, the bell tells you when someone replies to you or mentions you, when your comments get upvoted, and when novels in your library get new chapters. You can switch each of these off in Settings, or mute a single novel from your library.

Rankings by week, month and all time, recommendations based on what you've been reading, better search and filters, star ratings in reviews, and comments on every chapter.

Something missing or broken?

A rebuild this big means a few things broke or got lost along the way. If something you used on the old site isn't here, or something looks off, tell me on the feedback board. I read every post.
